Internships Announced

In fighting the anti-marriage amendment, the Human Rights Campaign has called upon Mr. Marsocci’s past political experience in appointing him to the advisory board of Protect NC Families and assigning him the duty to help recruit volunteers for the fight in the Triangle area. To assist with this and other HRC duties, he is announcing three internship opportunities. Starting immediately, he will be accepting resumes for a Federal Club intern as well as two political internship positions going through the May 8, 2012 election.

With the upcoming amendment fight, The Law Offices of Jeffrey G. Marsocci, PLLC is trying to help boost and replenish the Human Rights Campaign’s finances. With HRC’s recently announced $100,000 donation commitment to Protect NC Families to fight the anti-marriage amendment, on top of the $100,000 it gave to Equality NC for its lobbying efforts, Mr. Marsocci is trying to combine his office’s focus on domestic partner life and estate planning with HRC’s Federal Club Program. The Human Rights Campaign provides special recognition to donors who commit to donating $1,200 per year or more through the Federal Club Program.

Most of the time a short trip to the living room, den or garage may hold the key to elderly music. Sometimes there can be a shelf or shelves full of the answer…… long playing (LP) albums from Tommy Dorsey, Nat King Cole or many others.

Firm Launches Online Simple Will Package Education System

The Law Offices of Jeffrey G. Marsocci, PLLC just went live with an online Simple Will information system and ordering platform. The website, located at www.EZNCWills.com provides a 60 minute audio presentation on Wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, and the other basic but critical life and estate planning documents. The system also sends out several educational e-mails over a period of two weeks to re-emphasize important documents and elements of life and estate planning. In addition, North Carolina residents can also enter the necessary information for creation of their Simple Will Package, and an attorney will now communicate with the clients to properly draft and execute the documents at our law office.

Circle K Haunted House a Success

On Friday, October 28, 2011, the students of NCSU’s Circle K pulled off another successful haunted house at the Girls Club of Raleigh on N. Raleigh Boulevard. The Girls Club serves as an after school program for boys and girls, and for more than a decade it has provided an alternative to traditional Halloween trick or treating in the area, so parts which some may consider unsafe. This year, more than a hundred children and parents were able to enjoy the Halloween party and go through Circle K’s haunted house.

Jeffrey G. Marsocci Joins HRC Board of Governors

Earlier this month, I had the honor of being inducted as a member of the Board of Governors for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). The confirmation of my appointment came during the Fall board meeting October 1st and 2nd in Washington DC, culminating in the HRC National Gala Dinner at which President Obama spoke. Watch it here.
